Every application is reviewed personally, and you'll hear from us within five business days. Membership is $2,950 per year. Nothing is charged until your acceptance is confirmed.

What happens after I apply?
Every application is carefully reviewed, and you will hear from us personally within five business days. Sometimes we will suggest a short conversation first, which is less an interview than an introduction.
Am I committing to a trip by applying?
Not at all. Applying tells us you are interested in the club. Journeys are priced separately and chosen one at a time, whenever the destination calls to you.
What is Le Chéile?
New York City's private social club for travel enthusiasts. A small number of curated international Journeys each year, gatherings in New York between them and a community of people worth knowing. Le Chéile is Irish for "together," pronounced luh KAY-luh, and the name is the whole idea.
Who are your members?
Founders, creatives, executives and industry leaders. Partnered and single, twenties through sixties. What they share is a real appetite for the world and a fondness for the city they come home to.
Do I need to live in New York?
New York is our home base, so most members are New Yorkers or keep a foot here. If you spend part of the year elsewhere, that is no obstacle.
What if I travel alone?
Then you are in good company. Many of our members do, and our Journeys are built for it. Single occupancy is available on every Journey.
Can I bring my partner or a guest?
Yes, to Journeys and to New York evenings alike, subject to availability. Members always come first, with first access and preferred pricing on everything we offer.
What if I cannot make everything?
Not everyone does. Some members join for the Journeys, some for the New York calendar and some for the people they meet at both. There is no minimum.
How long does membership last?
Twelve months from the day you are accepted, renewing on that anniversary. Your rate is held for the full term.
What if now is not the right time?
Write to us anyway. And if you would like to get a feel for the club before you apply, say so. We occasionally seat prospective members at our New York evenings, and we will keep you in mind when the right one comes along. We would rather know you and welcome you in a season that suits you than never hear from you at all.
